Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Policy

Introduction

At Clean Slate Hub, we believe that diversity of people, perspectives, and experiences is the foundation of innovation, compassion, and success. We are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique strengths.

We recognize that systemic barriers exist in society and in the workplace, and we are committed to actively working to identify, reduce, and eliminate those barriers within our organization.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and volunteers of Clean Slate Hub, across all locations and business activities.

Inclusion – Building a culture where all people feel welcomed, respected, supported, and able to fully participate.

Our Commitment to EDI

Respect and dignity – All individuals will be treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of background or identity.

Zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment – Discrimination, harassment, or retaliation of any kind will not be tolerated.

Accessibility and accommodations – We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations and creating an accessible environment for individuals with disabilities or unique needs.

Accountability at all levels – Leaders and managers have a responsibility to actively promote EDI, model inclusive behaviour, and address concerns when they arise.

Actions to Advance EDI

We will take ongoing actions to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into our practices, including:

Recruitment and Hiring – Designing inclusive hiring processes to attract, interview, and onboard a diverse pool of candidates.

Training and Development – Providing learning opportunities on unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and cultural competency.

Workplace Culture – Promoting open dialogue, celebrating diversity, and ensuring everyone feels their contributions are valued.

Accessibility and Flexibility – Regularly reviewing workplace practices to ensure they are inclusive and supportive of different needs.

Measurement and Accountability – Collecting and reviewing workforce data (where permitted by law) to measure progress, set goals, and identify areas for improvement.

Employee Responsibilities

All employees share responsibility for making Clean Slate Hub a safe, inclusive, and equitable workplace. This includes:

Respecting others – Valuing different perspectives and treating everyone with dignity.

Challenging bias – Speaking up against discrimination, stereotypes, or exclusionary behaviour.

Being an ally – Actively supporting colleagues from underrepresented or marginalized groups.

Continuous learning – Remaining open to education, feedback, and personal growth in understanding equity and inclusion.

Reporting Concerns

All reports will be taken seriously, handled with confidentiality, and investigated promptly. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith will not be tolerated.
